I am a motivated communications professional with a passion for impactful design, strategic thinking, and a community-centric approach. I thrive on managing the full suite of communications needs for teams – from media relations to marketing, from formatting to photography.
I earned my BA in Anthropology, with honors, from the University of Puget Sound and upon graduation was awarded both a Fulbright and a Watson Fellowship. I’m also a graduate of the Movement Communications Academy, a mentoring course tailored to communications leaders working to advance racial, gender and economic justice.
My first career was as a touring circus artist. Life as an acrobat taught me to work hard and efficiently, how to unite an analytic and creative approach, and to nurture a deep connection to art and storytelling. My life-long interest in writing and visual arts led me into communications, and I am now passionate about using communications and marketing skills to support and strengthen the community.
These days I love hiking, canoeing and gardening, and am usually also exploring a new craft: printmaking, needle-felting and watercoloring are currently top of the list.
